The Percent of Replacement-severity Fire (PRC_REPLAC) layer quantifies the amount of replacement-severity fires relative to low- and mixed-severity fires under the presumed historical fire regime. Replacement severity is defined as greater than 75 percent average top-kill within a typical fire perimeter for a given vegetation type.
LF Remap PRC_REPLAC is an output of the recently revised Biophysical Settings (BpS) models for LF Remap (LF 2.0.0) and is now provided as an attribute of the BPS spatial layer. In previous versions available to the public, PRC_REPLAC was an output of the original BpS models and was provided as a separate spatial layer.
