A Landsat Data Tiling and Compositing Approach Optimized for Change Detection
in the Conterminous United States

Published July 2015 in Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing (PE&RS)

This LANDFIRE (LF) innovation describes a tiling and compositing approach using Landsat data in order to produce better change detection maps. The method outlined in this paper can also be useful to those who study land cover / land use change.
