The Percent of Low-severity Fire (PRC_SURFAC) layer quantifies the amount of low-severity fires relative to mixed- and replacement-severity fires under the presumed historical fire regime. Low severity is defined as less than 25 percent average top-kill within a typical fire perimeter for a given vegetation type.
LF 2016 Remap PRC_SURFAC is an output of the recently revised Biophysical Settings (BpS) models for LF Remap (LF 2.0.0) and is now provided as an attribute of the BPS spatial layer. In previous versions available to the public, PRC_SURFAC was an output of the original BpS models and was provided as a separate spatial layer.
The raster attribute table is included in the LF product download in a database file (DBF) format.
(Why is the DBF important?)
Comma separated value (CSV) files can be found in the LF Library.
