Schedule ›› Product Updates LANDFIRE delivers consistent, recent, reliable data to support natural resource and fire management activities. Enhancements and improvements to the data products account for change in vegetation across the landscape such as those resulting from wildland fire, fuel and vegetation treatments, and/or management. Typical vegetation growth across all lands is also incorporated. LANDFIRE 2001 and 2008 (Refresh - LF_1.0.5/LF_1.1.0) data sets are complete and available through our Data Distribution Site. LANDFIRE 2010 (LF2010 - LF_1.2.0) data are scheduled for a staggered delivery of two product groupings, Group A to be followed by Group B in the summer of 2013. LF2010 will reflect 2008 - 2010 calendar year disturbance and management activities, culminating in a 2010 landscape condition. As of January 2013, the delivery schedule is revised to an incremental GeoArea delivery rather than the previously planned nationwide delivery. Refer to LF2010 Delivery Schedule Change notification for more information.
LF 2010 will deliver a subset of data products for the Islands geographic area (US Insular areas, represented in the Islands GeoArea in this map).
Update methods utilize user contributed data that reflect natural disturbances and vegetation management to help inform landscape change. While data can be submitted at any time, the cut-off date for data inclusion in the next update cycle is November 15 of each year. Submissions after November 15th will be considered in the next update.
